Entangled
Award-winning documentary Entangled is a feature-length film that illustrates the effect climate change has had in accelerating the collision between one of the world’s most endangered species, the North Atlantic right whale, and North America’s most valuable fishery, whose lines continue to push the species to the brink of extinction.
Awards & Recognition
Entangled, by the makers of Lobster War and Sacred Cod, won a Jackson Wild award, known as the Oscars of nature films. It also won Best Feature Film at the International Wildlife Film Festival, Best Conservation Film at the International Ocean Film Festival, and the John de Graaf Environmental Filmmaking Award at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. In 2022, it was nominated for a national Emmy award.
The film highlights the plight of one of the world’s rarest marine mammals, with only around 350 North Atlantic right whales left. It serves as a compelling call to action for viewers concerned with environmental preservation, biodiversity, and the impact of human activity on wildlife.
